An Infinity Portal is an upgrade of an Infinity Mirror which were popular in the 1970's and 1980's. This is another project with flashing lights (RGB LEDs in this case) controlled by an Arduino micro processor. After completion of the portal I wrote an article for Nuts and Volts magazine having to do with its construction. The text of the article can be found here.
